Integrum Construction – Philip Petas

Following successfully qualifying at Weston College in 2006 as a Brick layer.

I began my career in construction, as an apprentice brick layer with Sandford Building Contractors, based in Somerset.

Sandford Building Contractors did a lot of work with and for local authorities, covering a wide range of building projects, ranging from hospitals, nursing homes large shopping centers and social housing.

My role soon progressed from bricklaying, to taking the lead on individual projects and also taking responsibility of the initial layout and pre build planning of new developments including all aspects of snagging and quality control.

Liaising with building inspectors, engineers and architects, was an integral part of of planning and indeed completion of projects, on time, on budget and no issues of Health & safety.

The building is nominated for an LBAC award.

In 2012, I had the opportunity to become a site manager with a local developer called Nirvana Homes.

After successfully completing 3 smaller style building developments comprising of 4 and 5 mews style houses, I became site Manager for my biggest challenge, 9 apartments in an exclusive area of Torquay, named Spa Villa.

This project started as a green field and therefore required all aspects of construction, culminating in the creation of Spa Villa which is a 4 story, 9 apartments, residential building with verandas and an adjacent 7 bedroom lodge.

The apartment building was complete in January 2018 and the lodge completion followed shortly afterwards in 2019. All properties sold prior to completion.

This enabled me to apply my knowledge and skills to the construction and development of domestic houses and apartments from the drawing board to final sale / after sales service. Therefore the complete (Integrum) start to finish process.

This opportunity has enabled me to build up a network of excellent contractors which, in addition to my 14 years experience in the construction business, has lead me to undertake building projects, in addition to my commitment to my primary contract with Nirvana homes.

The service I can now offer is one of completion of domestic building projects

from drawing board to ‘for sale board’ and beyond.
